Our No Gi Grappling program focuses on styles that have been designed specifically for MMA. Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu was created to overcome the need for grips on a competitor’s gi or clothing. Erik Paulson’s Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW) is a battle tested, combat ready method based on personal experience from one of MMA’s pioneers. Final Round is privileged to have a recognized instructor certified in both styles.
Beginning students will learn the fundamentals of good jiujitsu and grappling – the foundational skills that are necessary with or without a gi. Intermediate and advanced students will progress through the unique and creative Jiu Jitsu moves such as rubber guard, lockdown, and twister control that have made 10th Planet famous. They will also incorporate the fusion of CSW techniques that borrows from diverse arts such as Sambo, catch-as-catch-can wrestling, dumog, Shooto, and folk wrestling.
For the beginner, grappling will give you an intense, physically demanding workout that will burn hundreds of calories every class. Grappling also develops functional strength and remarkable endurance. For the experienced wrestler or jiuitsu player, our classes are sure to expose you to new techniques that will give you the competitive edge you’re looking for.
